pre-sessional with brit LC
The Strathclyde pre-sessional course is another great option for future UK university students. This 12-week or 8-week course (course length depends on the student’s starting level of English) can be used in lieu of an IELTS score so our students can skip that sometimes frustrating exam. As this course is 2 or 6 weeks longer than our Heriot-Watt PSE course, the Strathclyde course accepts students with a lower initial English level. This course is accepted by 26 universities (please see below) so as long as your future university is on the list, you can join this course and skip the IELTS. Students will not only improve their English, but also get to learn and practice key academic skills that will give them a head start in their university studies.
Run over 12 weeks or 8 weeks, the Strathclyde pre-sessional course is taught by highly qualified, Strathclyde certified instructors. Students will learn how to use and make academic references, create academic posters, write reports, how to take exams, write dissertations, and more.
Please see below for more specific details on the Strathclyde pre-sessional course.
